Lake Mary, Florida – During inspection for damage inside a wall from such sources as termites or moisture, it is usually necessary to remove or damage walls to diagnose the extent of the damage. This is particularly prohibitive in historical buildings where preservation is a priority.
Ray Meyers of Lake Mary, Florida has spent several years perfecting his method of non-invasive damage diagnosis without wall destruction or damage. “Using a variety of high tech tools, we are now able to not only diagnose damaged areas within a wooden beam or wall without damaging valuable wall coverings and wood trim, but we can also document the damage,” explains Ray Meyers, President of RJM Contracting, Inc.
“One of the technologies used in this process is the Resistograph which allows us to detect the extent of damage in structures that cannot be determined through exterior visual inspection,” says Meyers. “Now that we have perfected our method, we can now market these inspection services and equipment to engineers, pest control companies and organizations involved in historical preservations.”
